Day Sixty-Five

Last night was the last these two puppies will spend together. Today they began their new lives.

Before I get to that though the reason there was no blog yesterday was because of the GPDC awards banquet. It was a wonderful time and fun was had by all. Tiffin was a recipient of an award for her accomplishments in 2023.  She received a beautiful stainless personalized bowl along with her certificate. All those accomplishments pale in comparison to the wonderful litter she gave birth to.

This afternoon Avalanche now known as Chip went to his new home to live with Linda who bred, owned and loved his father, Wyatt. Linda did everything with Wyatt and I think she will find his son quite delightful. I know I did.

Of course, I shed a few tears when I said goodbye to him. As I am doing right now.

AND THEN THERE WAS ONE.....

He has found his forever home as most of you suspected. Tundra will stay here with me.

So, this concludes the story of the Wyatt - Tiffin litter. Thank you for following my blog and I hope you enjoyed the journey.

Week Nine

It is hard to believe that the puppies are nine weeks old already. Just seems like yesterday I was sleeping on a bed in the room right next to them. With only two puppies there is not much to blog about.

I did find out who sent the beautiful flowers. I am blessed to have some of the most generous and kindest people in the world that I am honored to call my friends! Thank you, Jeana Winterbottom and Maddie.

The puppies got to spend a little more time outside today because it was a beautiful day. A tired puppy is a good puppy.

Tomorrow is The Greater Pittsburgh Dalmatian Club awards banquet, and it is always a great time. Because of that there will most likely be no blog post. I hope to resume again on Sunday.

Here are today's pictures.

Day Sixty-Two

There are still two puppies here and I have been trying to train them some manners. They will now sit and almost wait for me to put their bowls down. I say almost because they can't stay sitting when the bowls get close to the floor. It's a work in progress. We also worked on twisting around in a circle for a treat. That is pretty easy because they will follow the hand with a treat in it. We also did some paws up exercises. Both will put the front two up. I tried to get them to put all four paws up but only Tundra did it but when he had to balance on it, he fell off. They also had two play times outside. I let them sit on my lap to hear the Dremel run. They are not bothered by the noise, but I can't get it near their toes yet. At this age two is one too many. They need individual attention.

Here are a few pictures from today.

Tundra wears his ears the way Tiffin did as a pup.

Day Sixty-One

Today was a very special day for me. I received a beautiful floral arrangement and I truly appreciate it, but I don't know who it is from. Of course, this brought tears to my eyes. Thank you to whomever sent me this wonderful surprise. It means more than words can express. I have had so many wonderful things happen because of this litter and this sweet gift was the icing on the cake. So, I want to say to whomever sent this you made me a very happy girl today and I love you.

This is the card that came with it.

Today was the last day the three amigos will be together.
Sweet little Chill left for his home in Kentucky with a good friend Judy
He will keep his name but with a y at the end.

Got a message from Phil and Polar which made me smile. Phil told me housebreaking and crate training is exhausting. The picture is worth a thousand words! Thanks Phil and I totally understand the exhausting part.

AND THEN THERE WERE TWO

Day Sixty

The three amigos play very hard than then sleep for hours. I had a chance to get away and have lunch with Chris, LaDonna and Judy. It is very relaxing to get away for an afternoon. We are still having great weather for February, so I took the pups outside for some fresh air. They weren't really impressed but Tiffin had a wonderful time running around the yard. Here are some pictures of the pups today.

 Day Fifty-Nine

I am so happy that Tiffin is back to running zoom races in the yard. She is ready for spring. Her milk has dried up, and she is looking less and less like a dairy cow every day. We are getting to the end of this adventure. I have loved every day getting to watch these wonderful puppies learn and grow. It's a bit sad to watch them go but I am so happy with the homes they have gone to. I have received pictures and updates from all three that have left, and all are doing well.  Here they are in their new homes.

Daisy

Today is the last time the remaining four will be together.

They had a great time playing.

Polar left today for a life as a tracking dog. A longtime friend of 40 years or so decided that he needed another dog. He has an older girl who is a Maks daughter. I'm sure Phil will have fun with Polar and she is keeping her name.

And then there were three entertaining themselves with an empty puppy food bag.

Day Fifty-Eight

I had a very fun day today. Deanna flew in from California to pick up Daisy formerly known as Arctic or yellow girl. She and I both have a mutual friend Tammy who picked Deanna up and brought her to my house. We had the opportunity to spend the day together and it was a great day full of laughs and of course puppies! Due to bad weather in California the flight was delayed. I am hoping that the flight was not delayed longer than expected and the Deanna and the puppy make it home without any additional problems. I will be a nervous wreck until I know they are safe. So. now there are four.

Polar can't understand where her sisters went.

The three boys are hanging out together.

The last picture of all five together.
