Day Fifty-Eight

I had a very fun day today. Deanna flew in from California to pick up Daisy formerly known as Arctic or yellow girl. She and I both have a mutual friend Tammy who picked Deanna up and brought her to my house. We had the opportunity to spend the day together and it was a great day full of laughs and of course puppies! Due to bad weather in California the flight was delayed. I am hoping that the flight was not delayed longer than expected and the Deanna and the puppy make it home without any additional problems. I will be a nervous wreck until I know they are safe. So. now there are four.

Polar can't understand where her sisters went.

The three boys are hanging out together.

Day Fifty-Seven

Here is the first picture of the day. The last picture of the remaining six together.

Early today Blizzard met his new family! He will now be known as Castiel. Jennifer and Andrew came from New York to get this sweet, beautiful boy. I know he will be well loved.

And then there were five.......

The puppies had a lot of visitors today. Friends Brian and Tony who had Maks' littermate Hannah stopped by to see the puppies and I thought I might need to look under Brian's jacket to make sure Tundra wasn't hidden there when they left. Tundra seemed to take a liking to him also.

Later my and Tiffin's friend Haley stopped by to get one last puppy fix before the puppies go and Haley brings a precious baby into the world! Tiffin wiggled all over when she saw Haley at the door.

Tundra needs to stop being so cute. How can I resist this face?

Or these cute faces?

Week Eight

And then there six...... The first puppy Shiver who will now be known as Coraline went to her new home today and what a lucky girl she is. She will be loved, and she will help to repair a broken heart after the loss of a much-loved dog. She has big pawprints to fill but she never left her small stature get in the way.

After she left, the other six became very quiet. Tiffin keeps looking in on them also. They have been sleeping a lot.

I will miss her, but I couldn't keep them all and I know Robin and Matt will give her a wonderful life.

Day Fifty-Five

Tonight is the last night all 7 will be sleeping together.  They start leaving tomorrow and I will miss each of them. I know they are going to homes that will love them and give them wonderful lives, but they were my babies first and I will worry about them. I gave them the best start I could and I wonder and hope it was enough.

Today they had visitors Wendy and Colleen who are like family we have known each other forever. They wanted to see them once more before they go to their new homes. Here are some pictures I took today.

I looked in a dark room and this is what I saw looking back at me. Tiffin and Bunny. She is so ready for this motherhood thing to be over.

Here are some videos of them playing before bedtime.

 Day Fifty-Four

This is the last Wednesday that the Allison 7 will be together. I called them the Allison 7 because that was the reference on the shipping label when I shipped the blood samples to the OFA lab. It made me laugh when I read that. Made them sound like a team of bank robbers or something.

On Friday they begin leaving. The right home has not come along for Tundra. My heart says he is already home, but my head says I am too old to do him justice. Maks says I don't like him, or his siblings so please make them go away.

It was a sad day because these puppies' great, great grandmother Bridgette gained her Angel wings.

I took the pups outside to play again today. Here are some pics I took.

Day Fifty-Three

It was another dry day in the mid 30's so I took the pups outside for a while. I was hoping running and playing and eating dirt or whatever else they could find would tire them out. When we came back in, they were invigorated instead of tired. It only lasted a very short time, and they were fast asleep.  A tired puppy is a good puppy so when they are ready to play I try to find something different for them to play with.

The videos are of them playing with a toy that plays a lot of different sounds and songs depending on which part of it they step one. They had some fun with that.

Today was also nail trimming day. They really don't like that. I stuck some peanut butter on the roof of their mouths to give them something else to think about.

She can look directly into your soul with those eyes. I will miss my little Shiver.

Day Fifty-Two

The puppies are at the getting into everything stage. By the end of this week, they will be leaving for their new homes. It is a very bittersweet time. They need to get one on one time with their new families but the thought of watching them leave is starting to make me sad. I've never felt this way with previous litters. Perhaps it is because this will most certainly be my last litter.

This puppy has stolen my heart from the beginning when he started following me around rather than play with his siblings.

With so many toys to choose to play with the very best one other than the fish is an empty water bottle.
